Education meets authentic coastline understanding.
Many local beach photographers learn the craft through generic presets, automated cameras, and excessive sunset filters. My journey is different. I am an alumnus of the prestigious **Art Institute of Boston (now College of Art and Design at Lesley University)**, where I spent years perfecting the classical rules of portrait symmetry, shadow architecture, and ambient lighting grids.
This formal critical training instilled a respect for honest, uninflated color properties. When I look at a beach composition, I am tracking the direct reflection of white sands, the specific trajectory of the tides, and the soft backlighting of the ocean waves.
In my family, photography isn’t just a career — it is a lineage. The Simonetti family photo business began in **1946**, documenting milestone events with pristine black-and-white plates. Carrying this 80-year tradition of trust, integrity, and raw performance onto the sands of Sanibel and Marco Island is my pride.
